The Eighth Annual Platinum Pias Community Awards Show for Artists are in only about a week away – Monday the 20th to be precise. Time flies when you’re having fun.
What is different about the Platinum Pias this year?
For one thing the focus is on actors and artists only.
Also, there are some new categories including the “Actor Making a Difference Platinum Pia,” the “Teaching Artist Making a Difference Platinum Pia,” the “Musician Making a Difference Platinum Pia” and the “Pop Icon Making a Difference Platinum Pia.”
Additionally, this year’s Platinum Pias will also be the first event at which MovieProcess.org will be announced. The announcement comes in the form of showing its graphic in the program. The reason we’re excited about this is because we believe that MovieProcess.org is going to make a difference in the lives of many actors and artists, empowering them to make movies that tell stories of social justice and making a difference which in turn will impact their audiences.
And of course another thing that is different about this year’s Platinum Pias is that we will be filmming for our mystery/thriller “Thrillumentary: Making a Difference Can be Murder.” It’s a fun and music-filled mystery about a filmmaker who must solve a killing to regain his faith in the goodness of people.
